		<description>I wrote this from experience. I was a DAT volunteer in Phoenix for about 2 years until I started going back to school. It always amazed me how little appreciation was shown to the group of people I worked with, and since I wasn&#039;t serving right now, I wanted to show everyone a little bit of appreciation. People don&#039;t often realize how much money volunteers spend on equipment, on training, and just what it means to be a volunteer.

I&#039;m looking forward to finishing my degree program this summer, as it will allow me to return to the Red Cross while I take a break in studies.</description>
